Users of Xbox will be able to connect to the voice channels of Discord directly from the servers and through the main screen of the platform, without the need to use a mobile phone.

Xbox has now announced that with its latest system update it is implementing the ability to access Discord voice channels directly from the console, without having to use the mobile app.
The company has advanced through a statement, which includes the news of its latest update, that users who do not have their Discord and Xbox accounts linked must do it from the main screen of the platform.
On the other hand, it has clarified that mobile applications will continue to be necessary to transfer direct calls to the Xbox as long as users choose this route instead of chatting through a server.
At the moment this feature is only available to Xbox Insider: Alpha users with build 2211.221017-2200, which has also introduced a playback and editing app called ‘Captures’. This can be accessed through the ‘Guide’ and ‘My games & apps’ tabs.
