In May 2021, we learned that Sony was investing in Discord, the famous instant messaging software. Enough to allow the two entities to begin a prolific partnership. Today, we know what it’s all regarding, and this is apparently only the beginning.
Sony has a Discord to its bow
First result of this alliance: it is now possible to link your PSN account to your Discord account. Users will be able to see what game you are playing on your PS4 or PS5 console. To do so, nothing might be simpler, just go to the “connections” tab of the Discord settings and click on the PlayStation icon. Then all you have to do is sign in with your PSN account.
According to our observations, the functionality is not yet present at the time of writing these lines. We will probably have to wait for the deployment to take place. In any case, we imagine that this is only the beginning of hostilities since Discord adds to its Blog :
