Disappearance. Actor Tom Sizemore, 61, has died

American actor Tom Sizemore, known for his tough guy roles in the feature film We have to save the soldier Ryandied at 61, his agent announced on Friday.

“It is with great sadness and grief that I must announce that actor Thomas Edward Sizemore passed away peacefully in his sleep at St Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank,” a statement said.

“His brother Paul and his children Jayden and Jagger (…) were at his side”.

The comedian suffered a brain aneurysm in February and the maintenance of his vital functions ended on Friday. A few days earlier, doctors had concluded that nothing more might be done for him, according to his manager Charles Lago.

Addiction and violence

During his career, the comedian has worked with some of the biggest names in Hollywood. His flagship role was undoubtedly that of an American soldier during the Second World War, interpreted in the film We have to save the soldier Ryandirected by Steven Spielberg and released in 1998.

This feature film had been nominated for the Oscar for best picture and its actors, including Tom Hanks and Matt Damon, had also been nominated for their joint performance as Best Distribution by the Screen Actors Guild.

Tom Sizemore used to play the strong heads, especially in True Romance or Natural Born Killers.

During a turbulent life, Tom Sizemore struggled with addiction and was imprisoned several times, including following assaulting his girlfriend.
