‘Dirty Dancing’ Sequel Officially Confirmed, Featuring Jennifer Gray

The love story between Frédérique Houseman, alias Baby, and Johnny Castle made the whole planet dream as soon as it was released in cinemas. Dirty Dancing in 1987. Since then, there have been many versions of the cult film written by Eleanor Bergstein. In 1988, a series was born but without meeting with success. In 2004, Dirty Dancing : Havana Nights was released in theaters without attracting crowds either.

This Thursday, during a conference organized at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, the Lionsgate studio however officially announced that the sequel to the original film was in preparation. The icing on the cake, Jennifer Grey, interpreter of Baby, heroine of the film, will indeed be back at Kellerman, a boarding house located in Catskill in the State of New York. The actress, now 62 years old, will she resume her role years later or will she portray another character? Will she be one of the main actors in this sequel or will she just make an appearance as a sidekick? At this stage, no information has yet been released by the Lionsgate studio. The period during which the new adventures of Dirty Dancing is also kept secret.

Patrick Swayze, who died in 2009 from pancreatic cancer, will be the conspicuous absentee from this return to cinema, which is already eagerly awaited by the general public.
