“During the inspection, room hygiene violations were identified, the food handling premises are dirty, the equipment used for food handling, inventory, surfaces in contact with food are in bad condition, dirty, unhygienic. Mechanical ventilation is installed in the premises, but the ventilation is dirty, open, not covered, fat accumulations are visible, cleaning inventory is not labeled and is not used as intended, food products were found without traceability, labeling information, frozen meat (beef) was thawed in inappropriate conditions, pest control was not ensured”, – stated VMVT.

At the time of the inspection, six employees were working in the food handling premises, but no evidence was provided that the employees had health checks and attended hygiene skills training.

“Recipes and technological descriptions of the prepared dishes were not provided, products with expired shelf life were found. The risk of cross-contamination cannot be avoided when handling food under the above-mentioned conditions,” added VMVT.

Is it possible that the company will fix all these shortcomings and open its doors again?

“Vilnius County has not yet received information about the elimination of the identified deficiencies and the request for the resumption of operations from the food processing entity,” confirmed VMVT.
