Dirk Nowitzki enters the Hall of Fame!

Tonight, the NBA Hall of Fame Class of 2023 was announced. Six legendary names enter the pantheon of the Great League. Among them, we find Dirk Nowitzki, the man who marked the Mavericks forever.

The NBA has announced the names that make up the 2023 Hall of Fame class. Legends with Dirk Nowitzki among others. The German made an impression for several reasons. His unwavering loyalty to the Dallas Mavericks, his track record that makes several current superstars jealous, his natural sympathy and his iconic one-leg fadeaway. However, the Wunderkid was not promised such a future. It took Don Nelson, former GM of the Mavs, to smell the good move by exchanging Dirk drafted at the Bucks once morest Robert Traylor.

The rest of the story, everyone knows it. NBA Finals in 2006, lost once morest the Heat, MVP in 2007, title in 2011 once morest the Three Amigos of Miami, some observers consider this trophy to be one of the most beautiful in history, MVP of the Finals in 2011, 14 times All-Star, 12 selections in the All-NBA Teams including 4 times in the first. All with more than 30,000 career points and shovel records in Dallas (even if a certain Luka is beating them all) including that of the most seasons played for a single franchise (21). This longevity has allowed him to play in three different decades.

This honorary title of Hall of Famer complements the perfect legendary triptych: retired jersey (41), statue in front of the American Airlines Center and soon Hall of Famer. All in a year and a half. High class. A deserved triptych, as he marked the history of his franchise and the NBA. He offered the only title in Mavericks history.

His one-leg fadeaway has returned to the mores and is taken up by the most talented players. The immortality of Herr Dirk Nowitzki is further strengthened. See you on August 12 to see him give his third emotional speech in 20 months accompanied by five other people who have made history just as much as him.
