Kochi: Kalakerala bids farewell to late director Siddique. He was laid to rest with official honors at the Ernakulam Central Juma Masjid. Siddiqui’s body was laid out for public viewing at Kadavantra Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium and later at his residence near Kakanad Church. Mammootty, Jayaram, Saikumar, Fahad Fazil, Fazil, Dileep, etc., all the big names of Malayalam cinema came to see Siddique for the last time.

Siddique passed away yesterday, August 8. He was 69 years old. Siddique, who was undergoing treatment for liver disease, suffered a heart attack the other day. He died while undergoing treatment at Amrita Hospital in Kochi. Siddique was a director who created a breakthrough in Malayalam comedy genre films.

Since last day, Siddique was undergoing treatment in Ekmo support. Siddique was undergoing treatment for liver disease. The heart attack occurred while slowly recovering from these ailments. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Culture Minister Saji Cherian, Speaker AN Shamseer, Leader of the Opposition VD Satheesan and Governor Arif Mohammad Khan have condoled Siddique’s demise.
