Peter Jackson will return to a world he knows well. Sorry for the fans of the Lord of the Rings or Hobbit, it is not a new adaptation of the work of JRR Tolkien… but of the Beatles! The cult director, who was behind the documentary Get Backmade from the rushes of another documentary, Let it Beon the separation from the British group, is apparently not done with the Fab Four.
“I’m talking to the Beatles regarding another project, something very, very different from Get Back. We see what the possibilities are, but that’s another project with them. It’s not really a documentary… and that’s all I can say,” he told Deadline.
The two surviving members, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, are apparently enthusiastic regarding working with the filmmaker. Like him, they have been careful, for the moment, to mention the subject.

Peter Jackson was in any case a little more talkative regarding his other projects, without really specifying their nature. But fans of the New Zealander will be delighted to learn that he should return to ambitious narrative films, once he has developed the technology to implement his “vision”.
“One (of these films) might be huge, but it’s so technically complicated that I’m trying to figure out how to make it exactly. It’s a live-action film, but it needs technology that doesn’t quite exist right now, so we’re developing it to enable it to be made. I try to anticipate what I might do, before it even exists. They are not fantasy epics, but they are quite interesting,” he explained.
Peter Jackson can in any case be satisfied with the work done in recent years with Get Back. The documentary garnered five Emmy nominations last week, including Outstanding Documentary and Outstanding Documentary Directing.
