Director in Commission –

The director of the US Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle, will appear on July 22 before the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability to testify regarding the attack on former US President Donald Trump. The summons was signed by James Cormer, director of the watchdog, who published the letter on his X account. Cormer does not fail to emphasize the “enormous courage” of the secret service agents present at the event, who protected Trump, neutralized the attacker and prevented further damage among the large crowd present (only two deaths have been recorded so far).

However, numerous voices have emerged questioning the effectiveness of the Secret Service in failing to prevent an armed sniper from positioning himself, unnoticed by the numerous agents present, on top of a roof that was located 150 meters from the podium where the president was speaking. In particular, one witness reported having warned the agents of the presence of the armed 20-year-old on the roof of the company located near Trump’s rally.
