170th day of war in Ukraine. All eyes are still on the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, the largest in Ukraine and Europe. Yesterday, new bombings targeted the perimeter of the power plant on Thursday, while Moscow and kyiv blame each other.
President Zelensky spoke last night denouncing these bombardments: “Russia has crossed the line and hit rock bottom in the global history of terrorism, no one has ever used a nuclear power plant to so brazenly threaten the whole world and set certain conditions.”
On the side of the United Nations, the allies of Ukraine have pointed the finger, before the Security Council, at Russian responsibility. “The solution to what is happening in Zaporizhia is simple. The United States calls on the Russian Federation to immediately withdraw its forces from Ukrainian territory.”said Bonnie Jenkins, US Under Secretary of State for Disarmament.
