The Paris Saint-Germain administration has opened to the media the two most important files related to next season, namely the future of star Kylian Mbappe and the contract with coach Zinedine Zidane.
The management of Nasser Al-Khelaifi is chief Paris Saint-Germain to persuade Mbappe Renewing his contract, which expires at the end of the current season, and preventing his transfer to Real Madrid Which was reported to have already reached an agreement, but its details were not announced until following the two teams’ match in the Champions League.
In the same context, some reports confirmed Paris’ desire to get rid of Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino at the end of the season and appoint Zinedine Zidane instead.
But the Brazilian Leonardo, the sporting director of Paris, denied, in statements to the French newspaper “L’Equipe”, an offer worth 50 million euros annually to lure France’s top scorer to stay at the Parc des Princes, or sign Zinedine Zidane.

Leonardo said: “It is not true, we have not made a specific offer to renew, this is an important element, I think the money is the last thing that will be discussed with Mbappe when we make an offer for him.”
He continued, “We want to provide him with the best conditions, so that he becomes the best possible player. As for the financial aspect, it will be discussed with the player in two minutes.”
Leonardo stressed that the issue of Mbappe’s renewal of Paris is not related to the article at all: “We have never talked to him regarding money, Mbappe is of great value, and I think that money is not a priority issue.”
And regarding the player’s desire to stay in Paris, Leonardo replied frankly: “It is more than this, it is a matter of feelings. When the French player begins his career, he likes to play outside France, and it is not a coincidence that the 1998 world champion France team was mostly playing outside Ligue 1 and the same thing in 2018. Mbappe was the only one to play in France, players like Paul Pogba and Antoine Griezmann never played in the French league.”
“But we in Paris Saint-Germain are not a selling club,” he added.
And the Paris director stressed that Mbappe is sufficiently appreciated in the French capital team: “This is a fact, he is the best in the world now, Lionel Messi has always been at the top, and in my opinion Messi is still at the top, but it is normal for new names to rise, the issue is not to say It’s better, he’s 23 and Messi is 34.”
Leonardo confirmed that Paris is doing everything possible to convince Kilian to renew: “We will try everything possible, and as long as the player does not sign, everything is possible.”
Zinedine Zidane profile
And regarding the news linking Zinedine Zidane with Paris Saint-Germain, Leonardo said: “There is still a year in Pochettino’s contract, and in all honesty, we have never thought regarding changing the coach, and we have not contacted Zidane or any other coach.”

Zizou achieved tremendous success in the training field at Real Madrid during the two spells in charge of Real Madrid, and became the first coach in the history of the game to achieve 3 consecutive titles of the European Champions League.
Leonardo concluded: “Before Pochettino came to Paris, he was one of the 5 best coaches in the world and is still among them. We are noticing a development in the team’s level.”
French reports indicated that Zidane will succeed Mauricio Pochettino in Paris, starting in the summer, while the Argentine will move to the English Premier League and most likely to lead Manchester United.
