Good news for Moroccans. Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, Minister of Housing and Hicham Sabiry, President of the National Council of the Order of Notaries of Morocco signed, Wednesday December 20, 2023 in Rabat, a partnership agreement as part of the final preparations preceding the implementation implementation of the Direct Housing Assistance program, scheduled for January 1, 2024. In a press release, the ministry indicates that this agreement aims to ensure the accompaniment and support of citizens by notaries, throughout the kingdom, throughout the throughout the process of granting direct housing assistance (2024-2028).

Also, it will allow the application of global pricing for notaries not exceeding 2,500 DH including tax, instead of around 6,000 DH including tax. The ministry will specify that this amount includes the notary’s fees, as well as the costs of the file including the entire process, from the establishment of the sales agreement to obtaining the certificate of ownership, apart from the costs of the State, in favor of citizens wishing to acquire housing whose sale price is less than or equal to 300,000 dirhams including tax.

“This partnership with notaries is a significant new step taken today as part of the implementation of the new direct housing assistance system, launched by His Majesty the King. It will strengthen support for the demand of targeted social classes for access to decent housing and for better social inclusion,” declared Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri on this occasion. She also recalled the main points of the new direct housing assistance program aimed at improving the living environment of citizens, both in urban and rural areas, wishing to acquire primary housing.

“This new system will contribute to strengthening the purchasing power of buyers, thanks to the establishment of direct aid to social classes and the middle class in the amount of 100,000 DH for the purchase of housing at a price less than or equal to 300,000 DH including tax and 70,000 DH for the purchase of housing whose price is greater than 300,000 DH including tax and less than or equal to 700,000 DH including tax,” the same source further specifies, concluding that the ministry aims to digitalize the process of monitoring, management and evaluation of the process of granting aid to buyers through a digital platform “DAAM SAKANE”, in order to support and guarantee the success of these measures.
