This is very serious: a Pakistani baby was born with two phalluses. This extremely rare situation was the subject of a publication in the’International Journal of Surgery Case Reports.
The two organs of the child are not identical, there is a centimeter difference. The doctors noticed that both penises were fully functional. Two urethras are connected to one bladder.
The diphallie
This child has diphallia, a rare disease that causes a (partial or total) duplication of the penis. This disease – which affects one birth in five million – is generally accompanied by the absence of the anus. This is the case of the Pakistani newborn. Surgeons had to operate on him to open up his lower abdomen so he could pass his stool.
