Diosdado Cabello: these elections are historic

The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, described the presidential election that takes place in the country this Sunday as a historic electoral process.

After exercising his right to vote, accompanied by his family, at the Rafael María Baralt Educational Unit in El Furrial, Monagas state, he highlighted that today is the 31st vote in the last 25 years.

He reaffirmed that in Venezuela the era of manual voting has been overcome and, in addition, the right to vote of each person is guaranteed, “because each person is a vote; That is old history that a person could vote several times, that remained in the Fourth Republic, now each person is one vote.”

In this sense, the líder socialist reiterated that the Bolivarian Revolution will recognize the results issued by the National Electoral Council (CNE). “In the democratic game, the winner is recognized. We have to ask some opposition sectors that have not said that they are going to recognize. We invite you to put on the democratic suit and understand that Venezuela does not belong to a small group, to a few surnames,” he highlighted.

On the other hand, he rejected the attempt by representatives of the international right to come to the country during the elections, without having been invited by the CNE.

“The conditions are very clear, whoever comes to Venezuela must respect the order of our Constitution, must respect that Venezuela is a free, sovereign, independent country and that those who are not invited simply do not participate in the observation, the accompaniment, to be here in Venezuela, to see one of the most beautiful electoral processes in the world,” he stated.
