With the surprise arrival of the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, the march of the working class took place in support of Nicolás Maduro, which took place this Thursday morning in Ciudad Guayana.
Workers from the basic companies of Ciudad Guayana, the public sector, social movements and political leaders were also present. As well as the governor of Bolívar state, Ángel Marcano; Tito Oviedo, Mayor Caroní; José Ramón Rivero, deputy of the National Assembly and different presidents of the basic companies.
The walk was from the CVG Monument Plaza to the headquarters in Alta Vista. The objective was to show support for the policies that President Nicolás Maduro is implementing, as well as the rejection of international attacks on the Venezuelan people.
“We reject the imperialist attacks! Return our gold! Return our plane! Respect the Venezuelan people!” were some of the slogans used by those present.
Support for President Maduro
Diosdado Cabello, vice president of the PSUV, began by showing his support for President Nicolás Maduro and the Venezuelans, stating that “it is time to vindicate the struggle of the Bolivarian revolution. The workers, the Venezuelan women and the youth are the key to being the voice of all Venezuelans.”
She pointed out that Venezuelan women are “moving the country forward”, each one from her role, “the female doctors are more committed, the street bosses, the leaders… Even the teachers, a key piece in education today. Also the workers of the basic companies that are raising the country’s productivity, counteracting the country’s threats”.
“They shut down the country. We have suffered attacks, persecutions and blockades, and they want to destroy the homeland! But today it is the workers who have been taken from the homeland who are contributing to the new rebirth of the country, today we tell imperialism that they will not pass through the territory of Chávez and Bolívar” , stressed the also deputy of the National Assembly.
In turn, he stressed that “the economy is picking up, thanks to the efforts of the country’s workers, thanks to the attention and commitment.”
“We have been under attack for a very long time. They wanted to overthrow the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), they wanted to sabotage our elections, they tried to end the life of the president, they have even carried out attacks once morest us, but in the face of all this, President Nicolás Maduro always has all the defense once morest this”, He continued in his speech.
He criticized that “the dinosaurs of politics, those who asked for sanctions, who asked for blockades. They began to demonstrate alongside the workers, demanding their labor rights.” In the opinion of the leader “they tried to manipulate those workers and distort reality,” said Diosdado.

On the other hand, the president of Bolívar state, Ángel Marcano, began his speech exalting, “Long live President Nicolás Maduro, long live the working class!”
“Brother president, here is the working class, always consistent, always attentive to any situation that arises in the country. The coup and neoliberal groups, paid by imperialism, have tried to use the working class as a guinea pig, but they will not be able to”, Marcano argued.
For the first regional president “in the times of Chávez and now it is the working class that occupies spaces in the spaces of production and leads the country to success. We have a management model and the protagonists are the workers. From work we create science and technology”.
“From Guayana, in the midst of the confrontation of economic sabotage, we are going to promote the country, because it is a conscious working class (…) There is a light at the end of the tunnel, today Venezuela has great economic growth,” closed the regional leader.

Armando Barreto, president of the Legislative Council of the State of Bolívar (Cleb), showed his support, commenting that “this activity called by Governor Ángel Marcano is a sample of labor demands, from all over the country, that despite all the blockade, has always been in labor struggles. The working class, social movements and leaders support our maximum leader, that we are sure that in 2024 he will be re-elected as the president of the people”.
Richard Malavé, director of Uyapar, assured that “today all the workers in the health sector are saying present, showing support for President Nicolás Maduro, once morest the attack on the currency.”

The mayor of the Sifontes municipality, Vicente Rojas, thanked for the invitation to the call, “all the people of Sifontes, the miners of the municipality and the entire working class in general support this revival of the economy and especially in the south of the country. In this mobilization, Luis Waldrop, a member of the Central Bolivariana Socialista de Trabajadores (Cbst) said “I congratulate the workers of Guayana and Venezuela. “Venezuela is a country that is on its feet and we are not going to allow any foreigner to come and decide what our policies will be like,” Waldrop concluded.
In the middle of the concentration, there was also the president of Alcasa, Arquímedes Hidalgo, who said that “they have fought enough to defeat any attack, and will continue there, as long as necessary, to guarantee the continuity of the Bolivarian revolution.”

Hernandez rejects any attack on the Venezuelan people and assured that from the river company they have different plans, to “return to the powerful country.”
