On the occasion of its spring-summer 2023 men’s show which will be presented in Los Angeles on May 19, the house of Dior will broadcast the event for the very first time on the Horizon Venues augmented reality application.
This new device, in addition to the live broadcast of the show on Dior’s Facebook page, is part of a new partnership between the French luxury house and the Meta group, which owns Horizon Venues. It will allow users with a Meta Quest virtual reality headset and the Horizon Venues app to live a fully immersive experience, as if they were sitting in the front row thousands of miles away. As ready-to-wear and luxury brands all seek to carve out a place for themselves in the metaverse, Dior and Kim Jones are making the once-exclusive runway show accessible to everyone. A first for the French house which thus supports its presence in the digital world.
The Spring/Summer 2023 ready-to-wear menswear show will be presented in Los Angeles this Thursday, May 19 at 8 p.m. local time.
