Last June, the Dior Men show invited the public to discover its spring-summer 2023 collection in a bucolic reconstruction of a huge field of flowers on the coast. An ephemeral country space between Granville, the birthplace of Christian Dior, and Charleston, a small cottage in southern England that once belonged to Duncan Grant, a painter who inspired Kim Jones for this summer wardrobe. Available in leather and nylon, this new line brilliantly combines the couture aesthetic of Dior Men, the fashionable touch british by Kim Jones and the technicality of the Mystery Ranch universe. The result is a series of hybrid bags currently only available in beige or black Cordura nylon. A mini collection that includes a new version of the must-have Saddle by Dior; a belt bag with its main zip and its multiple compartments, ideal for going on walks on sunny days; a Gallagator backpack with a detachable, water-repellent hood in case of bad weather; and a zipped wallet topped with a logo patch of both brands. An ultra-technical collaboration that should delight fans of wide open spaces and those who appreciate urban exploration.
