MEXICO CITY.- Surprised in social networks the theft of a dinosaur from the exhibition Jurassic World in Plaza Perisur, without anyone knowing how they managed to steal the piece.
The incident was made public on Wednesday, although it is believed to have occurred a few days ago, and a report has already been filed with the capital authorities.
Dinosaur stolen from Jurassic World Expo in Mexico City
Journalist Antonio Nieto reported the disappearance of a mechanical pterodactyl valued at almost 2 million pesos, which was stolen from the interactive exhibition in Perisur in the Coyoacan mayor’s office.
“Nobody has any idea how they got it out. The person in charge of the safekeeping said that it is a unique piece,” he reported through social networks.
One of the aspects of the case that has drawn the most attention is that there is no certainty about how the dinosaur was managed to get out of the shopping center; apparently, there are no witnesses to the theft.
The Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) of the CDMX is already aware of the disappearance of the dinosaur, which according to information obtained from the account of @ElPolicia It would have been removed from the site between the night of July 17 and the early morning of the 18th.
In its statement, the SSC confirmed that the Expo organizers have already filed a complaint with the Attorney General’s Office (FGJ) for the alleged theft of a mechanical dinosaur in Perisur.
“There is private security personnel on site […] This Secretariat does not have a service assigned to the location,” says the SSC.
