A new case related to a relative of the Vice President Dina Boluarte was revealed tonight. Is regarding Joseph Ugarte Boluarte, who since February 2022 has been the head of an office that did not exist until four months ago. Ugarte Boluarte is the nephew of the also Minister of Development and Social Inclusion Dina Boluarte.
According to a report by Panorama, Ugarte Boluarte —an anthropologist by profession— is the son of the sister of the vice president and on February 9 he became head of the Social Management Office of SEDACUSCO (a state company that provides basic sanitation services for the Cusco region). ).
What stands out from the case is that the creation of this office and subsequent appointment of the nephew of the holder of the Midis It must have happened with the consent of the board of directors of this institution, which is made up of three people, one of them being César Paniagua Chacón, who is close to Free Peru.
Paniagua was part of the pencil party’s technical commission on sanitation and in September 2021 he was appointed director of SEDACUSCO at the proposal of the Vice Ministry of Housing.
Nephew of Dina Boluarte defends himself
In a conversation with Panorama, José Ugarte Boluarte considered it a persecution that his appointment as head of an office in a state company is questioned and pointed out that he has work experience.
“It is a demonization and a persecution because my last name is Boluarte. It is my right to work and I am working where I have work experience (…), because I am the nephew of the lady, do I not have the right to work?”, maintained the anthropologist.
