“This visit allowed us to present to 250 businessmen the advantages of Peru for Chinese investors,” she emphasized.

She also highlighted that during this official visit, three protocols on phytosanitary requirements, seven memoranda of understanding on various cooperation issues and an agreement with Huawei to train 20,000 young people in new information technologies were signed.

She stressed that she held meetings with the top executives of six major Chinese companies, including the one building the Chancay Megaport and the one operating the “Las Bambas” mine.

“It has been a productive state visit, the results of which we will see in the short, medium and long term,” she added.

Boluarte questioned the “biased” press and expressed her desire for positive news to be communicated about her government. What kind of information does the head of state expect?

“We lack unity, love for our country as it should be loved and respected, and seek its development. I hope that this agreement that is being signed today for the construction of these hospitals, the press will help us to repeat it 24 hours a day, just as they do with biased news. Repeat this in your cameras, in your microphones, and I am convinced that more Peruvians will be able to learn about the good things that this government is doing.”

She avoided focusing on issues such as the Rolex case, citizen insecurity or the rape of Awajún girls, among other problems facing our country.
