The king’s prosecutor Murielle Seret requested six months in prison, a €5,600 fine and four months of disqualification of the driving license once morest the former mayor of Neufchâteau and Walloon MP, Dimitri Fourny.
A requisition which originated on August 15, 2022 when, at 1 a.m., as he was leaving his home in Chassepierre, Dimitri Fourny was stopped by the police.
And the test did not go well for the former strongman of the Municipality of Neufchâteau since he was tested in a state of alcohol intoxication (1.94 grams per liter of blood). What followed was an incredible scene which caused him to spend the night in a cell at the Florenville police station.
Dimitri Fourny is also being prosecuted for armed rebellion, refusal to comply, but also for driving while his driving license has been revoked.
If he recognizes the prevention concerning blood alcohol levels, Dimitri Fourny, accompanied by his lawyer Me Ghislain, fiercely denies the other facts with which he is accused. The Arlon criminal court will deliver its judgment on January 10.
