The digital tax brought in around 103 million euros for the state in 2023. That is around 7 million euros or 7.4 percent more than in 2022. The tax, which was only introduced in 2020, is aimed at on the Internet (e.g. banner or search engine ), which is not affected by the tax. It serves as an interim solution until global taxation rules for the digital economy are set at the OECD and EU levels, the Ministry of Finance announced on Sunday.
