Traditional decentralized home automation systems, which rely on the cloud for data processing, pose significant data protection risks. Sensitive data, such as lifestyle habits or images from surveillance cameras, are affected by this processing. Cyberattacks or even violation of privacy are dangers for these decentralized systems.
