Son settles accounts following his death
“Dieter Wedel was a monster, a sadist”
After the death of Dieter Wedel, his two sons bickered. Benjamin Voland launches an all-out attack – once morest his half-brother and his father.
Dieter Wedel († 82) died two weeks ago. Now a fight has broken out between two of his children. His son Benjamin Voland (23) not only finds harsh words once morest his half-brother, but also once morest his father.
The trigger for the Zoff was an Instagram post from Wedel’s son Dominik Elstner (41). After learning regarding his father’s death through “Bild”, he wrote on the social network for a photo of the director: “Rest in peace! Even though you weren’t the father I wished for, you’ve pleasantly surprised me over the past three years. Thanks for that.”
«So much hypocrisy makes me puke cold»
This text upsets his half-brother. According to “Bild”, he also responded to this on Instagram: “Oh dear brother, you hated our father almost as much as I did, and now you’re grateful to him? So much hypocrisy makes me puke cold.”
But that’s not all. He also makes it clear what he thought of his father: “Dieter Wedel was a monster, a sadist, a rapist and a misanthrope. The world just got a tad better.”
Rape allegations once morest Dieter Wedel
The rape allegations relate to an indictment by the Munich Regional Court last year. He is said to have raped the German actress Jany Tempel (53) in a Munich luxury hotel in 1996. The case once morest him will be dropped following his death, according to the court.
Tempel isn’t the only woman to accuse Wedel of sexual abuse. In the course of the #metoo debate, several actresses and the director’s employees made affidavits of having been harassed by the filmmaker. Including the Swiss actress Esther Gemsch (67, “Lüthi und Blanc”). (bsn)
