Diessenhofen TG – 19-year-old takes off with BMW and crashes into the house – 4 passengers, some seriously injured

On Saturday night, a 19-year-old driver was driving on Schaffhauserstrasse in the direction of Schaffhausen shortly following midnight. Shortly before the St. Katharinental train station, he lost control of his car for reasons that are still unclear. This got off the road, was catapulted several meters through the air and crashed into the wall of a commercial building.

According to a press spokesman for Kapo Thurgau, the teenagers involved in the accident have not yet been interviewed, which is why it is currently unclear whether the teenagers were on their way home or what their destination was. The driver and a 17-year-old passenger had to be flown to the hospital by helicopter, they were seriously injured. In the case of the two 16-year-old passengers and a 17-year-old passenger, it is not yet clear how serious the injuries are, probably severe to moderate.

The forensic service of the Thurgau cantonal police came to secure evidence. The Diessenhofen fire brigade temporarily closed Schaffhauserstrasse.
