DIENAN Silmy is an Indonesian producer and director who has made a name for himself in the film industry. As CEO of Evergreen Pictures, Silmy has been involved in various film projects such as Cerita Cinta, Baracas: Barisan Anti Cinta Asmara, Satu Hari Nanti, to Sinden Gaib and the series Kisah Tanah Jawa – Merapi.
However, the man born on August 2, 1989 is not only limited to the world of film. He expanded his creative work by developing Intellectual Property (IP) due to his love of history.
In 2018, Silmy founded one of his biggest projects, Kisah Tanah Jawa, a platform that presents mystical stories and local mythology in Tanah Jawa.
Through Kisah Tanah Jawa, Silmy combines his love of history and local stories with digital technology, bridging ancient traditions and modern audiences.
“I want to bring local stories to a wider stage and embrace all elements,” said Silmy.
Most recently, one of Silmy’s greatest achievements was establishing Bumi Nusantara, a content creator that not only collects local stories from all over the archipelago, but also serves as a platform for talented people in storytelling.

Through this platform, Silmy seeks to preserve and introduce the richness of Indonesian culture to the younger generation more widely.
“With Bumi Nusantara, I want to revive local stories while also becoming a space for talented Indonesian creators to share and create. The storytellers who are members of our community are known as Sobat Awam,” explained Silmy.
This community is a gathering place for the children of the archipelago who have a high spirit to preserve culture through stories. Either as a storyteller or a follower of the archipelago.

The first film born from Bumi Nusantara, Jagat Alam Gaib: Sinden Gaib, is a clear example of how Silmy combines local cultural elements with modern cinema.
This film explores the mystical world in the archipelago. The true story of one of those who experienced mystical events in the Trenggalek area. Offering a new perspective rich in spirituality and Indonesian cultural heritage.
Through his works, Silmy shows that local IP can have a global impact.
