“Diego Martínez agreed to his contract with Boca and is the new coach until December 2025,” Xeneize published on their social networks along with a photo of the coach with Chelo Delgado, in the midst of signing the contract.

“Welcome to the only great one, Diego!”

But it wasn’t the only thing. There was also a provocative message for the rest of the Argentine soccer teams. “Welcome to the only great one, Diego!”, can be read in the publication.

Hours before signing the contract with Boca, Martínez managed to separate himself from Huracán following arranging the payment of compensation. “Huracán terminated the contract with Martínez. The former coach accepted the conditions of the institution and signed the payment that will be made effective in the first days of January 2024,” Globo reported in a statement.

“Huracán demanded the corresponding compensation: the six months of contract that Martínez had ahead of him and that he decided not to fulfill, plus the month of advance commission that his representative had received. In this way, he was completely disconnected from the club,” Globo added in a brief statement.
