The coach of the U, Diego López, is not convinced of the arrival of goalkeeper Martín Parra, although he said he understood Azul Azul’s decision to choose him

A slam in the face for the young Martín Parra. The coach of Universidad de Chile, Diego López, expressed this Friday his desire to hire an experienced archer and that it be a contribution to the campus of the collegiate cast.

After the departure of Hernán Galíndez to Aucas in Ecuador, the directors of Azul Azul quickly began to pull the strings to find the competition of Cristóbal Campos and recently reached an agreement with Huachipato to add Parra on loan.

However, Lopez I wouldn’t be entirely convinced with the arrival of the goalkeeper who played this year in San Martín de Porres in Peru and thus demonstrated it today at a press conference.

“What I said is that I think we agree with the sports manager, with Manuel Mayo, that we, having two goalkeepers who are in the national team, young (Garrido and Campos), that our idea would be to bring an experienced archer, because we have two young people who have to continue growing. It is a private position. We have talked regarding that or I directly with the sports director, ”he indicated at the CDA.

“We don’t know how the negotiations can go and I don’t enter the economic part, but I do in the sports part and I try to advise. I think that with the club we have to look for the best way, or we look for what is best for the club. I don’t go into the economic part, I do in the sports one and I try to say what for me, or what the coaching staff advises, what would be the best. That’s why I said the other time and I say it once more, for us the best would be an experienced archer“, he added.

In addition, the Uruguayan strategist was blunt in saying that the idea is not to sign to make the team grow numerically, but rather to increase its quality. “It is not the first club that cannot bring what it is looking for. Bring to bring, no. Signing a player just to add to the squad does not correspond. I understand the reality of the club, they have brought in two important players, and that is good”, he said.

He even pointed out that Cristóbal Campos will be the regular starter until the end of the year: “Here we are looking for a goalkeeper who knows that he is not going to play, because the starter is already defined and we have a very good second goalkeeper, find an experienced one who accepts these conditions, it is difficult”, he expressed.

To finish, the former Italian Genoa coach indicated that “there will always be discrepancies, but we have to be united, together to make the best decisions. It is what can happen and many times the market takes you in other directions. What I say and maintain is what would be best, but the market can lead you to other things. Bother me, no.”
