After avoiding the subject for more than 28 years, Diego Bertie spoke for the first time about the relationship he had with Jaime Baylya sentimental bond that was exposed by the writer in his book “Don’t tell anyone”.
The actor does not want to keep quiet anymore and at 54 years of age he has decided to respond to the famous Peruvian driver, whom he questioned for revealing intimate passages of his sentimental bond without his authorization.
“I was a friend of Jaime (Bayly). We had a short, failed relationship. It was not a relevant relationship, what was relevant was what he did with me, he wrote books, he exposed my privacy, he exposed things that I had the right to expose when I wanted and at the time I wanted, he exposed me and violated my family, to my daughter, to my life, to my career and it hurt me a lot”, commented Diego Bertie.
Although he considers that Jaime Bayly affected his life by exposing his sexuality publicly, the interpreter of ‘How difficult it is to love’ assured that he has already left his resentments in the past.
“I don’t hold a grudge against him, I don’t have any kind of grudge against him. I see him a little fat, swollen, the one who thought he was the standard-bearer of gays, now he is the most bourgeois man, married, with children and with a big belly, and I am a free person, happy and without any trouble. The closet that he wanted to take me out of, I took it out many years ago”, he clarified Diego Bertie.
