Minuto30.com .- This Thursday, July 25, it was learned that two important Mexican drug traffickers were arrested by the DEA at an airport in Texas.
Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada and Joaquín Guzmán López, son of El Chapo, arrived in a private plane to a private plane airport in Doña Ana County, Texas, Mexican media reported.
There are two versions of the incident: one is that they surrendered after prior negotiations, the other is based on rumors that the drug traffickers were deceived and taken unwittingly to U.S. territory.
The fact is that DEA agents were waiting for them at the scene.

Did they surrender or were they deceived?
Some media outlets claim that “El Mayo” (Mayo), 76, and one of “Los Chapitos” (Chapitos), Joaquín Guzmán López, had previously negotiated the surrender, and so they arrived together to carry out the agreement, the terms of which are unknown.
However, The Wall Street Journal claims that the two men were deceived by a high-ranking leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, who took them to “inspect clandestine airports on the Mexican border” without knowing that they were already on American soil, where their capture by anti-drug police would take place.
The valuable “head” of “the May”
The United States was offering $15 million for information leading to the capture of Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada, an individual who is accused of leading a criminal organization, conspiracy to murder, money laundering, and manufacturing and distributing cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine.
Joaquín Guzmán López was offered a “pitiful” reward of 5 million dollars, making him one of those with the “lowest” reward on his head.
Two other members of “Los Chapitos,” Alfredo and Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar, have a reward of 10 million dollars for information leading to their capture, as they remain in hiding.
The DEA has them
The US Department of Justice confirmed in the last few hours that it has the two Mexicans, considered “drug traffickers’ tough guys” in its custody.
