A strange story witnessed by the series “Wolves of the Mountain”, which was shown regarding 30 years ago, and starred Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Abdullah Ghaith and Sherif Mounir.

Where rumors spread regarding the Egyptian artist Nabil Al-Halafawi’s refusal to participate in the work in the role of “Alwan Al-Bakri”, for fear of death, following the role was initially given to Salah Kabil, who died before the start of filming, so that the role was transferred to Abdullah Ghaith, who also died during filming.

Nabil Al-Halafawi received a question regarding the matter through his Twitter account, to confirm at first that his refusal was not related to pessimism or optimism, but what happened was that he received an offer from director Magdy Abu Amira, to embody the character of “Alwan Al-Bakry”.

At the time, the work was only written, but Al-Halafawi apologized for it, so the director asked him regarding his opinion on the series, and did he advise him as a director to apologize as well, but Al-Halafawi told him that the series would succeed in the masses.

After that, Salah Kabil agreed to embody the character, but he died before it was presented, so the director asked Al-Halafawi to replace him, but he refused, stressing that he might not bear to see Amr, the son of the artist Salah Kabil, saying, “This was my father’s role.”

Al-Halafawi revealed that the role, at the time of Abdullah Ghaith’s death, was not shown to anyone, because he was close to completing it, and the director was able to act in the remaining scenes.

Al-Halafawi ended the controversy surrounding the matter, and the widespread story regarding the series, specifically the role of “Alwan Al-Bakri”, who witnessed strange scenes during the preparation.
