Dichand: “The content of this is complete rubbish!”, Blümel: “Sorry!!” – Lobbying & Corruption

If “Today” editor Eva Dichand doesn’t like something, she doesn’t mince her words – even if her chat partner is a top politician and ex-minister. She was “pretty shocked that Fellner is sending her so much money,” wrote Dichand in July 2019 to Gernot Blümel (ÖVP), previously Minister of Art and Culture and later Minister of Finance. Fellner receives a third of his sales as a subsidy, which “does not exist anywhere in the world. A real joke. My husband thinks so too,” wrote Dichand to Blümel. That was “really the last piece of crap in terms of content, wrong in terms of media policy/content and a political joke.” One should not always give in to everything, concludes Dichand.
