DICE reactivated Rush game mode after community uprising

After DICE removed the Battlefield 2042 Rush playlist from the featured Battlefield Portal playlists last week, it got loud in the community. For some players, the removal of the popular Rush game modes is said to have even resulted in the game being returned or uninstalled.

Apparently, and fortunately, the community got so loud that DICE has now given in and has re-activated both the Battlefield 2042 Rush Playlist and Rush of Ages as featured game modes today.

There is also a new game mode called “Run. Stop. Kill. Repeat ”. As part of the game mode, you play a version of the game “The Journey to Jerusalem”, which is popular on children’s birthday parties. The game is played with 32 players in the FFA game mode, the classes from Battlefield 1942 and on the maps from Battlefield 1942, BC2, BF3 & 2042. The first with 15 kills wins. The difficulty in this game mode is to always kill an opponent when the timer has expired.

How long the Rush game mode will be available this time, DICE does not announce. The game mode “Run. Stop. Kill. Repeat ”should be removed on January 20th.

Battlefield 2042 is available now in stores and from digital providers on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC. Find out more regarding the different Battlefield 2042 editions here.
