Most of us in the games industry have already announced our 2023 Game of the Year winners. As usual, this led to many people accusing us of poor taste and ignorance of what makes a great game. Fortunately, the people who make these outstanding experiences mostly seem to agree with us.
Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences Announce The nomination list for the 27th DICE Awards. If you didn’t know, it’s an annual gaming award for members of a non-profit organization that essentially serves as the protector and common denominator of the gaming industry. Most publishers and developers you know, big and small, are members, so the DICE Awards are more appropriately compared to the Academy Awards (aka the Academy Awards) than Geoff Keighley’s The Game Awards show. That’s why it’s always interesting to see how their lists differ from ours. This includes giving Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 more credit than just one remake, and remembering how much praise Hogwarts Legacy received in early 2023.
