A shower of celebrities met Thursday evening at the amfAR gala at the Cap-Eden-Roc hotel. There were those who walked the red carpet before attending the cocktail, then the more discreet, who snuck straight to their table for dinner and the auction.

Camouflaged behind his black cap, Leonardo DiCaprio is on the prowl. He watches and stalks guests who try to take his picture. He will even go so far as to ask the Paris Match photographer to leave him alone. The American actor still got up to greet his friend, Robert DeNiro , guest of honor at this new edition of amfAR, seated at the table next door. Everyone tries to immortalize this unique reunion, in vain.

The evening begins with a concert by Ricky Martin. The Puerto Rican singer starts his show with his legendary music “Un Dos Tres” before continuing with his other hits. A hubbub reigns permanently. Neither the speeches, nor the concerts, nor the announcement of the prizes discipline the guests. Meanwhile, Nabilla asks security to be evacuated. Between the world, the heat, the music far too loud and her very next delivery, the young woman does not feel very well.

Tom Hanks sits behind the Paris Saint-Germain player. The Oscar-winning actor for his roles in “Forrest Gump” and “Philadelphia” will leave the evening at 11:30 p.m.

Among the prizes offered to raise as much money as possible for AIDS research, a lunch with Robert De Niro and a painting he painted in 1963 are on offer. A film of his career is then projected on the screens. Leonardo DiCaprio, who pushes his table companions to bid, is very attentive to this. In total, more than $17.7 million will be raised (compared to $9.3 million in 2021). To conclude this evening, Christina Aguilera literally set the stage on fire. The artist unleashes the crowd. Lena Mahfouf and Iris Mittenaere sing “Lady Marmalade” at the top of their voices. The bravest then attend the “following party” around the sumptuous swimming pool of the palace, where Jason Statham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley were staying a few days earlier.
