The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, called to give hands and heart to the Homeland in his message for International Workers’ Day.
The president assured from Twitter that “there is always noble and useful work to do for Cuba. Let the celebration not pass without contributing something to the well-being of the Homeland”.
In the same way, he recalled that next Friday, May 5, the squares and streets of the country will be the scene of the activities of this workers’ festival.
This 1st. de Mayo, a tweet between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm, was called by the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (CTC) to show how much the country has won in terms of rights for its workers, and to send the world a message of unity and resistance in the face of the economic crisis and the hostile US imperial policy.
According to the call, the leading accounts will be those of the CTC and its general secretary, @CubaCentral and @UlisesGuilarte, respectively.
Due to the instability of the weather that caused heavy rains in several territories, the union organization decided to postpone the commemorative activities planned for today throughout the country.
