PHOENIX (AP) — Zac Gallen was unbeatable for six innings, Ketel Marte and Evan Longoria homered in the first inning, and the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Colorado Rockies 5-1 Tuesday night.
Gallen (7-2) has gone 6 wins without losses with a 0.66 ERA in six starts at Chase Field this season. He allowed five hits, walked two and struck out seven batters, earning his first win in three outings.
He also improved his ERA to 2.72. The right-hander hasn’t allowed a home run in 63 innings since his second start of the season.
Corbin Carrol also homered and scored twice for Arizona, which has won three straight. Nolan Jones hit his first home run of the year in the ninth off reliever Kevin Ginkel.
