Diablo III Season 29 introduces a new feature called Diabolic Cracks. These are portals that appear randomly in the open world and lead to small arenas full of enemies. Particularly profitable in experience and equipment, there is no doubt that you will test them between two higher faults.

Where can I find an evil crack?

Diabolical Crack appears exclusively in the open world. Exit the Nephalem faults and superior faults. On the other hand, you will find some quite easily by making bonuses for example. The crack appears as a portal with blue and purple highlights.

How does an evil crack work?

When you enter a Diabolical Fissure, you are thrown into a small area of Sanctuary. These are always small areas, or even very small ones. For example, it might be Iron Wrath. This is the famous battering ram you use to destroy the gates of Pandemonium Fortress during the campaign.

Upon arriving in the area, you have to fight several enemies. When you’ve killed enough of them, or killed a specific monster, another portal will appear. It also leads to a random area. The cool thing is that Blizzard has selected locations that you usually never visit during Rifts. In most cases, we are talking regarding small arenas that require good management of spaces given the high density of enemies.

Each zone has a specific name: Wrath of Iron, Odious Promise, Overlook of the Forgotten, Fate of Tristram (you fight around the relay), Tale’s End, Height of Ambition, Tormented Garden, Precious Memory, Grim Emblem, Putrid Pit, Arid Necropolis, occult Catacombs, Harvest of Corruption, etc.

New affixes

Fissure monsters have new affixes:

Weakening (enervating) : Creates an area of effect around the monster that reduces the player’s movement speed by 65% and cooldown reduction by 50% if the player is near the monster.Necrotic : Player healing is reduced by 65%. Monsters have a damage over time effect that deals 180% of the player’s maximum health over 30 seconds. This effect is removed if the player is healed above 95%.Resource Leech : You lose 65% of your maximum resources with each hit. As much to tell you that the zone is done with 0 in resource most of the time.

How does an evil crack end?

After a number of random portals (it might be three, but also double), the last area you clean offers a special chest. This contains the following items:

A mix of normal, magical, and rare items2x Greater Rift Key2x Khandurian Rune2x Westmarch Holy Water2x Corrupted Angel Flesh2x Tapestry of War of Arreat2x Shade of Caldean Nights

Once the chest is opened, you have 30 seconds to leave the area, otherwise you will be teleported to town automatically.

Devilish Crack Profitability

Each area contains a random number of monsters. Some are fairly standard, with normal monsters and an elite and/or champions. However, other much more interesting monsters.

You can thus come across cracks with:

Three Guardians of the Rift (they drop a lot of keys) Five or six packs of champions at once Mixes of several rare and champions Exclusively treasure goblins (yes yes)

Monsters drop many items, to the point that your inventory will quickly fill up. While leveling, this can cause you problems, so I advise you to empty your inventory before entering a crack.

The equipment systematically offers you upgrades if you are not yet at the maximum level. I imagine that at level 70, the number of legendary items will skyrocket, so it can be very interesting.
