A symbolic milestone of five million players exceeded, which comes with the game’s first balancing update in over 12 years. This update is already available and comes with a mode Tournament which comes with four different categories. The player, who must create a new character for the occasion, can compete in the tournament called Classic (a normal version with the four acts), Extreme Classic (the normal version but with only one life) as well as a version Extension with the additional act provided by the extension Lord of Destruction accompanied by its version Extreme (only one life always).
On the adjustment side, the 2.4 update brings a massive patch of fixes. Amazon, Assassin, Druid or even Necromancer, all classes are being revisited but also objects, mercenaries or even Über Diablo. Modifications justified by Blizzard.
