Update (06/07/2023) – GS

at the beginning of the weekwe talk here at TC about the first Diablo IV players to reach level 100 in the title, including the race to find out who would be the first to reach the feat in hardcore mode, thus fulfilling the challenge proposed by Blizzard.

As reported by PCGamesN, streamer Souaïb ‘cArn’ Hanaf was the first to reach level 100 on the game’s hardest mode and was recognized by Blizzard, ensuring his name is immortalized on a statue of Lilith.

Unfortunately, his joy didn’t last long, as he kept playing to reach the last boss and got disconnected from the server.

If a player dies in Hardcore mode, their character will be permanently killed and they will have to start all over again from experience level 1.

As a player can deliberately disconnect when their health is low to avoid death, the game treats a disconnect as a death.

So when cArn restarted the game, he found that his level 100 Hardcore Barbarian character, which he had been playing for 82 hours, had died.

Thankfully, he managed to get Blizzard recognized for his feat before starting from scratch, meaning his work wasn’t in vain.

Now, we can only wait to find out if another 999 players will be able to meet the challenge to have their names immortalized on the statue.

Have you ever thought if this happened to you?

Diablo IV will only be officially released on June 6, however, some players are already facing Lilith’s armies since the last day 02 thanks to the early access granted by the Deluxe and Ultimate editions of the game.

Prior to launch, Blizzard issued a challenge where a select group of players who reached level 100 in the “hardcore level” would have their names immortalized on a statue of the Queen of Hell. Well, it didn’t take long for the first lucky guy to show up.

According to PCGamer, four players have already managed to reach level 100 in Diablo IV with one character, but the first was Rob2628, who needed 54 hours to accomplish this task.

Through an exploit related to the Champion’s Demise dungeon, Rob2628 replayed the dungeon to gain experience and, with the help of friends, level up faster. He managed to do this before Blizzard applied the first changes that weakened some skills in his preferred class, the Barbarian.

Draelin, rengar666, KlapopjeKOP and Willemh have also managed to reach level 100 with their in-game characters, and many more are already above level 90 and ready to join that growing list. All achieved the feat at the normal level, which makes them ineligible for the challenge proposed by Blizzard.

On the other hand, we have the wudijo player, who, so far, has reached level 87 in the hardcore level without dying and could be the first player to immortalize his name on the statue of Lilith. Will he be able to meet the challenge?
