It’s been a while since Diablo IV was released and you’re surely starting to get your hands on the title from Blizzard. However, if you’re a new player, chances are you’ve missed a little tweak that can change everything, especially on the higher difficulties of the game!
Attacking and moving share one button!
To fully understand this whole story, you have to see that on the PC version of Diablo IV, attack and move share only one button which is the right click by default. During your first hours of play, it will not bother you that much.
Indeed, sometimes, when you will want to move, you will attack instead, but in the first levels of the world, the damage is too low for it to have any real impact and rare are the spells that will one-shot you.
Except that the further you go in the difficulties, the more you will come across spells that you must absolutely dodge or risk being killed in an instant. Except that if both actions are on the same key, you will find yourself in delicate situations.
In clashes against large packs of enemies, you simply cannot move. Fortunately, there is an option that will allow you to overcome this problem. In fact, there are even two different options for this!
The first option available to you is to configure a key to “Force movement”. With this key, you will force your character to move, even if you click on an enemy. In this way, finish attacking instead of moving.
The other option is to completely remove the option that allows you to interact/attack/move with the same key. You will then have to configure a specific key for each of the actions, but like that, you are sure not to have any more problems.
To begin with, it can be complicated at the automation levelbut quickly, you will see that things will become much more natural and that this trick will allow you to avoid some stupid deaths where your character refuses to come out of the AoE.
