2024 – Civil Defense. National Civil Defense Day is celebrated to commemorate the work of rescue workers during the devastating 1977 earthquake in Cosette, San Juan City.
On November 23, 47 years ago, a magnitude 7.4 earthquake devastated the small town of San Juan. 65 people died and 300 others were injured to varying degrees.
