On the occasion of Global Accessibility Awareness Day, Samsung is committed to helping people with hearing impairments better enjoy the sounds of the world around them with the introduction of new improved Ambient Sound.
Making technology more accessible and inclusive
Previously available in three customization levels, the enhanced Ambient Sound feature – which gives people the ability to hear and be aware of their surroundings – now adds two additional levels, containing five levels of amplification1 and allowing the benefit of clearer hearing to a wider range of people.
To assess the effectiveness of the resource2a was carried out clinical trial at the Hearing Aids and Aging Research Laboratory at the University of Iowa, in the United States. The research concluded that by improving speech recognition, the Galaxy Buds2 Pro can be an excellent means of bringing a “hearing aid experience” to people with mild to moderate hearing loss. One similar test conducted by the Samsung Medical Center also found that the Galaxy Buds2 Pro can be an effective tool to help people with mild to moderate hearing loss better participate in conversations.
Bringing new levels to audio customization
With this enhanced feature, Galaxy Buds2 Pro owners can also adjust ambient sound settings as per various needs. People can adjust the left and right volumes, as well as customize their ambient sound’s tone range from soft to crisp in five different stages. Additionally, ambient sound can be tuned to a person’s ears through the Ambient Sound Adapt feature, allowing for even more clarity to help them hear the world around them better.

Availability
Enhanced Ambient Sound feature will roll out progressively to Galaxy Buds2 Pro via software updates in the coming weeks3.
