The goalkeeper from Barranquilla Devis Vásquez might make a leap to European soccer from Guarani in Paraguay, where he has been playing since 2020 when he left the FPC where he played with La Equidad and Patriotas. The youth squad from Cortuluá who is 24 years old today would be AC Milan’s bet for 2023.
The journalist expert in transfers, Fabrizio Romano, told on his social networks that “AC Milan have reached an agreement to sign Devis Vásquez from Guaraní. The Colombian goalkeeper will join in a permanent agreement“.
In addition, Romano also mentioned that the Italian club remains “focused on signing Marco Sportiello as a new substitute goalkeeper” on a free transfer for June. The 30-year-old goalkeeper, from Atalanta, will end his contract on June 30 of this year.
On the other hand, the Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra mentioned that Vásquez is on Néstor Lorenzo’s radar for the Colombian National Team, thinking regarding renewing the tricolor arc.
Devis is 24 years old and 1.95 meters tall. In 2016 he left the Cortuluá under 20 team for Patriotas. The Boyacá club gave him to La Equidad in 2018 and in the midst of the pandemic he arrived at the Paraguayan Guaraní branch.
It was not until January 2021 that thanks to his good performances, he earned a place in the first team. Now, Vásquez is close to leaving the team for which José Moya recently signed, to join the legion of Colombians in Serie A.
