PARIS, May 20 (Benin News / EP) –
The leaders of Apple presented a preview of its upcoming mixed reality viewer to the company’s board of directors last week, indicating that development is at an advanced stage, according to Bloomberg.
Apple’s board of directors is made up of eight executives and the CEO of the American manufacturer, Tim Cookand meets at least four times a year.
Sources close to the tech company told this outlet that in recent weeks Apple accelerated the development of rOS, the virtual reality (VR) operating system that will run this viewer.
These advances in operating system development, along with the presentation of the viewer to the board, suggest that its debut is expected in the near future.
According to Bloomberg, this launch would take place either at the end of this year or as early as 2023, although the company’s goal was to unveil it in June, during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).
This online series, in which Apple highlights the latest innovations in its iOS, iPadOS, macOS and tvOS operating systems, will begin on June 6 and run until Friday, June 10.
However, the manufacturer rejected the general presentation of this viewer as part of its upcoming conference due to various issues detected during the development process of the device.
According to the latest publications from Apple analyst Mark Gurman, this viewer might cost more than $2,000 at launch and would be equipped with two processors.
