THE GOVERNMENT will continue to boost development in Papua to improve the welfare of the people in the province. The government does not want the Papuan people to fail to feel welfare just because of the actions of armed criminal groups (KKB).

“Yes, in Papua, the development process is currently being carried out to improve the welfare of the Papuan people,” said Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Hadi Tjahjanto at Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport, East Jakarta, Saturday (21/9/2024).

Hadi agreed that the terrain for development in Papua was very difficult so the involvement of the TNI-Polri was very important.

“In the construction process, due to the difficult terrain, we involve the TNI and Polri to secure the construction process,” he continued.

According to him, security has been tightened in a number of areas considered vulnerable.

“And the part that we convey or provide support for is in areas that are considered to be experiencing disruption, and until now we continue to carry out these activities,” said Hadi.
