developers are working on the Resistance suite

The developers who recently released Days Gone, namely the guys from Bend Studio, At one point, they asked officials at Sony to create a new title in the Resistance franchise.. Resistance is a series that developer Insomniac Games created during the PlayStation 3 era, but since the release of Resistance 3 in 2011, there hasn’t been a new entry. While Bend Studio has tried to be the one to change this, this project which was submitted to Sony for the PS5 ended up being rejected. In a new video with former PlayStation Director David Jaffe, Jeff Ross, and former CEO of Bend Studio, spoke regarding what the company was working on following the release of Days Gone. Ross, who is no longer with Bend, previously revealed that Days Gone 2 was a project the studio wanted to create, but PlayStation officials had not given the team the green light. For this reason, Bend entered a period when he was looking for to know what to develop next. Ross said one of the ideas was actually for a new Resistance reboot on PlayStation 5, and regarding it he said:

“My speech was that open world resistance would be incredibly awesome. All these open world loops that we found. It almost wrote itself with Resistance or so many aspects of that property that lent itself to open world play. They didn’t care too, and I don’t know if it sold well. ”

Ross went on to say that the game Sony wanted Bend to work on was a new reboot of Siphon Filter. The classic PlayStation franchise was actually developed by Bend Studio when it debuted in 1999, but Ross said he had no interest in trying to bring the series back.
