Atomic Heart has had a tumultuous release. Despite widely differing reviews, the shooter has at least convinced the Steam community so far – but a scandal now forces developer Mundfish to make a public apology. The game features an old Soviet cartoon in which a racist caricature appears.
Atomic Heart: Developer Must Remove Racist Cartoon
In the Soviet parallel world of Atomic Heart, players have encountered a cartoon with a racist caricature. A snippet from the real existing Russian series Nu, Pogodi (German title: Hare and Wolf), which first aired in 1969, has drawn criticism for its racist portrayal of a black person. The clip was played in one of the safe rooms in the world.
