DEYAP announces that following a problem of intense turbidity that occurred in the well that supplies the Thea area with water, its competent department proceeded to shut down the operation of the well.
A possible cause of the problem is the extremely low water level for the season, combined with the very high consumptions that lead to over-pumping.
From the Competent Services of DEVAP, since this morning, efforts are being made in two directions:
A) To take the necessary actions with the suggestions of expert geologists, for a possible resumption of the drilling even with a lower pumping rate.
New quality checks will be repeated tomorrow, Wednesday 17th July in the morning and a further announcement will follow.
From the competent Service, every effort is made to deal with the problem with the water supply in the area.
DEVAP asks for the understanding of fellow citizens.
