Al-Marsad Newspaper: The Riyadh Municipality has set the controls for allocating car parking spaces in residential buildings in the city of Riyadh.
The secretariat stressed that providing sufficient parking for vehicles is a mandatory condition for the owners of residential buildings, but the area and the Wadi Hanifa code determine the appropriate number for them as stipulated by the regulations.
She noted that the regulations for allocating parking include residential buildings that do not fall within the scope of Wadi Hanifa, and one parking space is provided for each apartment with an area of less than 200 square meters, and two parking spaces for each apartment with an area of more than 200 square meters.
She pointed out that the residential buildings within the Wadi Hanifa code provide one parking spot for each apartment of less than 130 square meters, and two parking spaces for each apartment of more than 130 square metres. As for the collective housing buildings for individuals, there is no need to provide parking for vehicles.
